twin-duvet-coversComforters are one of the most expensive pieces of bedding, so it makes sense to invest in a cover to protect them and make cleaning easier. Since comforters are big and bulky, they may not fit into the usual household washing machines. They will be cumbersome to wash by hand too. Washing them may also ruin the filling of the comforter, which can result in misshaping and bulking of the comforter. The contact with detergent soap and other chemicals may also erode the dust-repelling qualities of the fabrics and filling. Duvet covers make maintenance a breeze no matter what type of comforter. A bedspread or other blanket can be useful, but using a duvet cover is the better choice.

From twin duvet covers to king-sized options, there is a model to fit any bed. Not only will a duvet cover effectively protect the comforter but it allows affords you the opportunity to complement and enhance your bedroom décor. Because there is such a wide array of designs available, there is something for every taste and style.

t300-twin-size-solid100-egyptian-cotton-sheet-setI remember away back when it came around the month of April my mom would have us all pitching in to do spring cleaning around the house.
Mom would start with the kitchen cleaning out the cupboards throwing out old products that got shove into the back. Washing down the shelves putting everything back neatly in to the freshly clean cupboards. Mom always took care of the spring cleaning around most of the house.
My sister and I had one chore to do every spring and that was to do our own bed rooms. We would dust every thing in our rooms clean out our closets. Mom had us check out our winter wardrobe pack them away and get out our spring clothes. We would be at this all day as mom would check up on us to make sure it was done right.
The best part of spring cleaning was that we got to remove the flannel sheets. Mom would get us some new fresh Egyptian cotton sheets for the summer. We would put away our heavy duvets and put a freshly wash light coverlet blanket on our beds.
Spring cleaning for kid’s can be a big chore but in the end when all is done our rooms were fresh and bright ready to enjoy the coming months of spring and summer.

full-queen-duvet-cover-set-450-thread-count-solid-egyptian-cottonYou go out to buy a new and very expensive comforter. Showing to your friends and family to let them see the great taste you have when buying things. Now that you got it home you can’t wait to sleep on it.

Having your new comforter for a couple of weeks your love started to show. It now has stains on it. You think that’s ok I will just throw it in the wash but, after see the only dry clean tag you decided a better idea was to wash on delicate wash. When you take it out it is not as clean as you wanted it still had stains, so you tried a heavy duty cycle that didn’t help because it still had stains and it got rip from the power of the heavy duty cycle. Well now all there is to do is to dry your comforter and maybe it will be ok but it comes out with little balls of lint on it. You know how to sew so you will try to salvage your bedding with your great sewing skills. After all that you look at your new or not so new comforter and decide the best place for it is in the garbage.

BUT WAIT! Don’t throw out your new comforter that you bought, there is a way to save and turn it into the lovely piece of bedding that you love so much. Duvet cover sets can salvage what is left of you comforter  that you were embarrass to put back on the bed. This way you can save your comforter and many happy years out of it, I truly recommend that you use duvet cover sets. You will be glad that you did.

twin-blush-chocolate-hotel-3pc-duvet-cover-setDuvets come in different sizes to accommodate the different sizes of beds. The common bed sizes are twin, full, queen and king The import ant’s of getting the right size for your bed is if its too big it make s it difficult to sleep and too small does not provide warmth for the whole body. There is not much of an issue with the depth of a duvet. If you were buying sheets its important that they will fit over the entire mattress, but each duvet usually has a similar thickness. Standard-size duvet covers fit snugly around a duvet of the corresponding size.

Twin beds are the smallest size bed available, other then children’s beds or cribs. Twin duvet covers are the smallest available. Twin-size duvet covers measure 64inches by 90 inches. Full-size is bigger then the twin but much smaller then queen or king size duvets. The measurements of a full size duvet are 86 inches by 90 inches, queen-size duvet measures 108 inches by 90 inches and the king-size duvet is the largest measuring at 102 inches by 108 inches.

Keep in mind that the lager duvet covers usually cost more then the smaller seizes, Make sure to buy the right size as people need to be fully covered when sleeping during the cold nights, so buying small duvets to save money is not a good idea.
