A towel is used for drying or wiping up moisture. It is a piece of absorbent fabric or paper.

The first type of towel is a bath towel used to dry off after a bath or shower.  A larger one is called a bath sheet. The beach towel is a slight larger then a bath towel us to dry off after being the water or to provide a surface to lie on to relax or just to tan. Beach towels are made of bright colors and designs.

Next is a foot towel a small rectangular towel used in the absence of a rug, carpet or bathroom mat. Place on the floor to stand on after you have bath or showered.

The hand towel is smaller then bath towels the size being 30×60cm use to dry your hands.

Paper towels are made of paper used once then disposed of. The paper towel is perforated and comes in a roll normally mounted on a rod to make it easy to tear off.

Here is a type of towel that means the same but different names. They are a tea towel or a dish towel or another name is kitchen towel. Tea towel is the (British English) and dish towel is the (American English). They are all used to day as towels to dry dishes.

Then there is the wash cloth or also known as a face cloth. Wetting a face cloth and applying soap to wash your body and face to help remove dead skin.

This is just a few types of towels with their own names and what their used for in our everyday life.
