If you’re looking to change up the look and dynamic of your room for the coming warm weather, look into changing some of your bed linen before you make more drastic changes to the room. To that end, make sure that the color of your bed linens is appropriate to the season. If, for example, your duvet covers are dark in color, they might be more appropriate for winter or fall months. Light colors or pastels, however, are more appropriate for spring or summer.

Also make sure that the texture and weight of those linens is appropriate as well. If the linen is very heavy, it will simply be too overbearing for the lightness of warmer months. You also have to consider the practicality of this linen. If the sheets or covers are too heavy, they will be uncomfortably warm when those summer nights don’t cool off.
