Bed linens and pillowcases are important elements in our lives since we spend a third of our lives in bed. And now you can feel like an Egyptian princess in your own home thanks to twin Egyptian cotton sheets. Here are a few tips to help you care for your Egyptian cotton bed linens to extend their life and preserve their quality:

~Change linens once a week and wash according to manufacturer’s instructions. Follow warm or cool water recommendations to prevent shrinkage.

~Keep linens sparkling by removing stains using non-chlorine oxygenated bleach which is gentler on fabrics. Don’t use fabric softener as it decreases moisture absorbency and weakens fibers.

~Treat any stubborn stains. Re-launder when you find spots before putting sheets in the dryer.

~Use low heat when drying sheets and remove from the dryer while they are slightly damp to avoid weakening the fibers. You can iron them instead until they are completely dry.

~Store top and fitted bottom sheets and one pillowcase inside the other pillowcase for easy retrieval from the closet.

~Classify sets of sheets by bedroom and have three sets on hand per bed. Rotate these sheets by putting the most recently washed on the bottom of the pile and using the set on the top of the stack.
